The Tsuneho Tea Whisk has 64 tines and suitability for preparing either the thin tea, usucha, or the thick tea, koicha. The tines of the whisk have been expertly crafted, cut and curled at the tip, and bound together, making it flexible and efficient at preparing a bowl of smooth matcha. Rinse the bamboo whisk in water after each use and leave it to dry in a well-ventilated area with the prongs facing upwards, ensuring it is dry before storing.
FOR FIRST TIME USE ONLY: Place the bamboo whisk tines in warm water and soak for a minute or so, softening the tines and thereby increasing flexibility to help prevent breakage.
Before preparing either usucha or koicha, we encourage warming the whisk in some heated water and drying using a soft cloth. Now you are ready to start preparing a unique bowl of matcha!
